Scan & Restore brings the photos in your albums and shoeboxes back to life, on your phone. Scan a print with your camera and the corners are found and straightened for you. Glossy print? The glare remover takes four quick shots from different angles and keeps the clean part of each. Lift fading and colour casts in one tap, then save the photo full size to your gallery with the year you know it was taken. Nothing is uploaded: every fix runs on the phone.

Questions
Where can I get it?
Scan & Restore is out now on Google Play for Android phones and tablets.
Is it free?
Yes. Scanning, the glare remover, fade and colour fixes, 2x enlarging, gallery import and full size saves are free, with no watermark. Scan & Restore Pro unlocks every tool. In the UK it will be £19.99 once for Lifetime, or £7.99 a year with a free trial when Google Play offers one. There are no weekly or monthly plans, and you can try several Pro tools on screen before you buy.
Does it upload my photos?
No. Scan & Restore has no account, no sign in and no internet permission, so it cannot upload anything. Every scan and fix runs on your phone, and a photo only leaves it when you share it yourself.
How do I scan a glossy print without glare?
Use soft daylight, keep the phone's light off and turn on the glare remover. It asks for four quick shots from slightly different angles, lines them up and keeps the clean part of each, so a reflection that spoils one shot is filled in from the others.
Can it scan negatives and slides?
Yes, with Pro. Lay colour negatives, black and white negatives or slides on a light panel, and the app turns them into photos and takes out the orange film base. A second phone or tablet showing a plain white screen can be the light panel.
Does it use AI?
A little, and all of it runs on your phone. The enlarger is a small model, and dust removal uses one to find faces so it can leave them alone. Scanning, the glare remover and the fade and colour fixes work without AI. Zarkon trained the enlarger on openly licensed photos, credited in this list. Enlarging can add fine detail that was never in the photo, so the before and after slider is always there to compare with the original.
Which phones does it work on?
Everything works on any phone with Android 8 or later.
