Drum Tuner
Drum Tuner listens through your phone mic and helps you get a drumhead even all the way round. Tap in front of each lug and it shows how far that lug is from the others and which way to turn the key, lighting up the next lug across the drum as you go. Then strike the middle to read the head's note in Hz and tune towards a target. It works on snares, toms and bass drums, top and bottom heads.
Free: lug matching, centre pitch and a target note for the drum you are tuning, plus a picture of your readings with a watermark. Drum Tuner Pro is a one-time purchase that adds kits with readings for both heads, retuning to a saved sound, linking the bottom head to the top, and pictures without the watermark. No subscription.

Questions
Is Drum Tuner free?
Free: lug matching, centre pitch and a target note for the drum you are tuning, plus a picture of your readings with a watermark. Drum Tuner Pro is a one-time purchase that adds kits with readings for both heads, retuning to a saved sound, linking the bottom head to the top, and pictures without the watermark. No subscription.
How does lug matching work?
Tap the drum about 3 cm in front of a lug. Drum Tuner reads that strike, compares it with the average of the lugs you have read, and tells you to tighten or loosen it. When every lug is even, you can lock that pitch or move on to the centre note.
Can it tune a bass drum?
Yes. It reads notes down to about 35 Hz. Phone mics hear very low notes faintly, so tap the bass drum a little harder and hold the phone close.
Anything to know before I start?
Use a quiet room and hold the phone about 30 cm from the drum. Drum Tuner shows the pitch, but the sound you want is up to you.
