White Balance
White Balance measures the colour temperature of your light, for photographers and filmmakers. Fill the square with a grey or white card and read the Kelvin live. It fixes the camera white balance, and on phones that share RAW sensor data it reads the card before any correction, so the number follows your light, not the phone.
Free: the live Kelvin reading, presets and warnings. White Balance Pro is a one-time lifetime unlock. No subscription.

Questions
Is White Balance free?
Free: the live Kelvin reading, presets and warnings. White Balance Pro is a one-time lifetime unlock. No subscription.
What does Pro add?
A one-time Pro unlock adds gel tips (CTO and CTB, including stacks, and where the light will land), green and magenta tips, Compare two lights, saved and named readings, calibration against one or two lights you know, and clean reading cards.
How accurate is it?
On phones that share RAW sensor data, White Balance reads the grey card before any white balance, using the phone maker's own colour calibration. Other phones read the card with the camera white balance fixed to daylight. Phones differ, so calibrate once against a light with a known rating and check with a test shot.
What if my phone cannot fix white balance?
A few phones do not let apps fix white balance. The app labels those readings AUTO WB and says they are rough, because the phone pulls the card towards neutral before the app sees it.
