What it does
- Say "cheese" or "snap", or clap twice, to start. Say "stop" to cancel
- Speech recognition runs offline on your phone; nothing is recorded or uploaded
- The phone reads out a pose, with captions on screen, then counts down from 3, 5, 10 or 15 seconds
- Takes a burst of 2 to 5 photos (up to 10 with Pro) so you can keep the best
- Front and back cameras, flash, zoom and a framing grid; sideways photos come out in landscape
- Review, save, share or delete, and find every set again in My photos

Questions
How well does it hear "cheese"?
In our tests with computer voices, a clear "cheese" or "snap" was caught about 98% of the time, and still about 88% with music playing at a similar level. Lots of people talking at once makes words much harder, so two quick claps or the Start button are there too. Settings has a mic test.
Does it record me?
No. While the camera is open it listens for a few words and for claps on your phone. Audio is not saved or sent anywhere, and the app works offline.
Is Voice Camera free?
