Job Profit privacy policy

Effective date: 22 September 2026

This Job P&L ("the App") compares a quote with the materials, labour, and extras you enter for one trade job, and shows the profit from those figures. This policy explains what stays on your device and what does not leave it.

1. Data storage

Jobs, costs, and receipt photos are stored on your device in the App's local storage (AsyncStorage). There is no account. We do not run a backend, and we do not sync this data to servers we operate.

2. Receipt photos

Attaching a receipt photo is optional. A photo you attach stays with that job on your device, and you can open it again in the App. Deleting the job or the cost line in the App deletes the photo stored with it. Uninstalling the App removes the data stored with it on that device.

3. Purchases

The App is free for 3 jobs. A one-time purchase of £24.99 (Google Play product trade_job_pnl_lifetime) unlocks it after that. Google Play Billing processes the payment. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Purchase records are handled by Google.

4. Diagnostics

The App does not send data to a third-party analytics service. It does not include Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, or any similar analytics SDK.

A local track() function writes a line to the device console only (console.log). Those lines are not transmitted by the App. The names that may be logged this way are:

job_created
cost_line_added
pnl_shown
paywall_shown
purchase_started
purchase_succeeded
purchase_failed

5. Data we do not collect or sell

We do not collect your name, email, or phone number.
We do not sell personal data.
We do not share job, cost, or receipt data with third parties.

6. Figures in the App

Profit and loss figures are calculated from the numbers you enter. The App does not provide financial, tax, or accounting advice.

7. Age

This Job P&L is intended for people aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

8. United Kingdom and EEA

We do not sell personal data. Because jobs, costs, and photos stay on your device, requests to access or delete that information are handled in the App: delete the job or cost, or uninstall the App.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
