Privacy policy
Thinking Cap ("the App") is a puzzle game: graded Sudoku with a hint tutor and a daily set of short logic puzzles. It works on your phone only. There is no account, and the App does not send your games or any personal data to us or to anyone else.
1. What stays on your phone
Your puzzle progress, saved games, results, stats, the techniques the tutor has shown you and your settings are stored in the App's private storage on your phone. Puzzles are made on your phone too. Uninstalling the App deletes all of this. If Android backup is turned on, Android may include this data in your phone's backup to your Google account.
2. Sharing
When you tap Share, the App makes a picture and a short text of your results (for example which puzzles you solved and how many hints you used) and hands them to Android's share screen. They go only to the app or person you choose. The App never shares anything on its own.
3. Photo puzzles
If you make a puzzle from a photo, you pick the photo with Android's photo picker, so the App can only see the one photo you choose and never your other photos. The App turns it into a small grid of shaded squares on your phone and keeps only that grid. The photo itself is not copied, kept or sent anywhere.
4. Purchases
Thinking Cap Pro is sold through Google Play, either as the yearly Puzzle Pass or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Google Play handles the payment and tells the App which plan you have. The App keeps on your phone only which plan is active and when Google Play last confirmed it. We never see your card or payment details. You can cancel the Puzzle Pass at any time in Google Play.
5. Analytics and tracking
The App does not include analytics, crash reporting or tracking tools and does not use the advertising ID. It asks for no permissions to read your contacts, photo library, location, camera or microphone.
6. Children
The App is made for adults. It does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.
7. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
