Is Party Lights free?

What does Pro add?
Room effects that use each phone's place in the line (Wave, Chase, Rainbow Spread and Team Colours), Colour Scenes and your own colours, Cool Aurora, Calm Ocean, Candle Glow, Neon Strobe and Mic Reactive, messages and countdowns on every phone, a sleep timer and saved shows. Only the host needs Pro; guests never pay.
Do my friends need the app?
No. Guests can scan the host's QR code with their camera and join in a web browser. The app is steadier, because it keeps the screen awake and finds rooms on the Wi-Fi by itself.
How do the phones stay in time?
Each guest checks its clock against the host every few seconds, then works out the colours itself. Effect changes are timed to land on every phone at the same moment, and a short Wi-Fi drop does not stop the show.
Anything to know before I start?
All phones need to be on the same Wi-Fi or the host's hotspot. Every phone must accept a photosensitivity warning before any lights start, and no effect flashes 3 or more times a second. Take care if you are sensitive to flashing light.
