Allergen Label Maker

Allergen Label Maker makes UK PPDS allergen labels (Natasha's Law) for home bakers, market stalls, food vans, farm shops and small cafés. Add your ingredients heaviest first, confirm the allergens it suggests, and print labels with the 14 allergens in bold on a Bluetooth thermal printer or A4 sticker sheets. It works offline with no account, and your recipes stay on your phone.

Coming soon to Google Play

Not on Google Play yet. It will be free to download, with every label feature, the allergen checks and printing free for up to 5 saved products. Pro is a yearly plan or a one-time lifetime unlock, with the same features either way. No weekly plans.

You stay responsible for your labels. The app lays them out and suggests allergens as a prompt, but it cannot see your recipes or your kitchen, so check every ingredient and allergen against your recipe and your suppliers' labels.

Questions

When can I get it?

Allergen Label Maker is not on Google Play yet. This page will link to it when it launches.

Is it free?

Yes, it will be free to download. Every label feature, the allergen checks and printing are free, with up to 5 saved products, 58mm thermal printing and A4 sheets of 14 labels. Pro is a yearly plan, with a free trial for new subscribers, or a one-time lifetime unlock, with the same features either way. No weekly plans.

What does Pro add?

Unlimited saved products, your logo on every label, all 8 sticker sheet sizes (6 to 24 labels a sheet), a batch log of every print run with CSV export, and 80mm thermal printers. Prices are shown in full before you buy, the yearly plan can be cancelled at any time in Google Play, and you can move from yearly to lifetime whenever you like.

Does it make my labels legal?

It lays labels out the way the Food Standards Agency PPDS guidance describes: the name of the food, a full ingredients list in weight order, the 14 allergens in bold every time they appear, and text no smaller than the legal minimum. It cannot see your recipe or your kitchen, so you stay responsible for the accuracy of every label. Check each ingredient and allergen against your recipe and your suppliers' labels, and follow current FSA guidance.

How does it find the allergens?

It suggests allergens from ingredient names, for example butter (milk), tahini (sesame) or semolina (wheat), and from the contents you copy from a bought ingredient's pack. You confirm or reject each suggestion, and you can tick any of the 14 allergens yourself. Nothing prints until every suggestion is answered. The suggestions are only a prompt and can miss an allergen, which is why you check each one.

Which printers work?

Most portable 58mm Bluetooth receipt and label printers that use ESC/POS and pair in Android's Bluetooth settings, with continuous or die cut direct thermal label rolls. 80mm printers work with Pro. Printers that only use Bluetooth Low Energy, such as many mini cat printers, are not supported. Any printer can print the A4 sticker sheet PDFs.

Does it need an account or the internet?

No. It works offline with no account. Your products, recipes, ingredient library and logo stay on your phone, and nothing is sent to us.
